Holy moly y'all I am sitting here writing my third trimester recap! Weekly Workout Schedule + My Light Strength Training at 40 Weeks
Hi loves! Still hangin' in there at 40 weeks preggo. I don't know if it's because it has been basically 100 degrees here every day this past week or what but this week I was more feeling my lighter strength training workouts (that I get to do in the AC!) as opposed to my long 5 mile walks I was doing last week. I need a treadmill ;) I have been doing workouts from my Pregnancy Fitness Guide and just doing 2-3 sets with light weights or just my body weight. Since you gain weight as you progress in pregnancy, "body weight" workouts really do take on a whole new meaning. I mean, I'm carrying almost 30 more pounds than I was prior to getting pregnant so you can bet I am feeling that weight in my squats! Still trying to conserve energy for labor but exercise does give me energy on a day to day basis so finding that balance is different every day. I have had some major fatigue setting in so I'm not trying to burn all my energy in these last weeks on workouts but instead save some energy for labor!
