Happy first day of fall! The weather hasn’t quite gotten the memo here in North Carolina yet, but that won’t stop me from enjoying all things pumpkin spice and decorating my front porch to match the season…#basic! Let me back up for just second, though. Craig and I moved into our little home after we got married at the end of 2016. We have slowly been updating it room by room, space by space. One area that I hadn’t gotten around to putting all that much effort into was the front porch. We have a big back deck and so I feel like we found ourselves going out there over our smaller front porch. We had a couple of rocking chairs but that was it. It didn’t feel nice or cozy or anything like that. So one day I decided that it could use some sprucing up…this thought in conjunction with fall coming felt like the perfect timing to not just decorate the entryway area but also the whole porch. I wanted to keep the same type of vibe on the porch that we have in the house, which is sort of a modern farmhouse type of feel, with just a *touch* of bohemian.
I think the farmhouse fall front porch decor all came together nicely and was just what I wanted to update the space.

So yeah, just pretty bland and boring. I wanted something cozy we could enjoy sipping our morning coffee on or an evening glass of wine.
Here are the afters:
SHOP THE DECOR:
I love how rugs and a few pieces of decor really make the space have a life of its own and make it much more cozy! I really love the addition of the curtains not just for privacy but for a homey feel. I just put up this tension rod and these curtains. The only thing we haven’t done quite yet is string up our lights. That finishing touch is coming soon so stay tuned 🙂
Thanks for reading!
