I have been, in a word, obsessed with this summertime green smoothie that I’ve been making for Craig & me each morning. It’s such a great way to get your greens in early in the day (you don’t taste the spinach, I swear) and the flax seed, collagen powder/protein powder, and peanut butter make it super filling. Even Craig said he didn’t need to eat until lunch when he normally has a mid-morning snack. I do find it very filling, but since i’m currently 34 weeks pregnant I’m pretty much eating every 2-3 hours regardless, ha.
Summertime Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
- unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- frozen banana
- frozen peaches
- frozen strawberries
- 1 scoop collagen or protein powder (I have been using this kind in Vanilla and LOVE it)
- 1 tbsp ground flax seed
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 3 spoonfuls vanilla yogurt
- 1-2 handfuls spinach
The peaches are such a nice touch and make it feel extra summery to me. Can’t get enough! If you give it a try let me know 🙂
Also, I bought a pack of these reusable stainless steel straws since I only had 2 reusable ones prior to that. Better for the environment than those plastic straws and they come with little brush cleaners too.
xo,
Bess
