Happy Friday, friends! I had originally planned for a different post to go up today all about short hair cuts & color, since I was going to be getting my hair done yesterday. I ended up changing my appointment for a few weeks from now because, to be honest, I got a little freaked out about the hair dye and pregnancy. Most recommendations I read, including the one from my doc, said it should be fine but waiting until after the first trimester would be best. So since I just hit 13 weeks I wanted to wait a little bit more. SO that post will be up early Feb instead!
Today, rather, I just want to share a Friday Finds of some things I am loving or things I have my eye on and want to share with you.
This nail polish color! I actually got it done last week and was feeling a pretty pink for our gender reveal. And honestly blue nails would have been weird so I went with pink 😉 It’s called “Getting Nadi On My Honeymoon” by OPI.
Speaking of nails, I also really love the Sundays non-toxic nail polishes. I may have mentioned them before, I can’t remember! But they are amazing quality and even when I do my own manicure, it seriously lasts like at least a whole week without chipping…which is a long time to me for a regular mani! And in case you’re wondering, OPI is marketed as non-toxic and in terms of nail salon type polishes, it’s one of the “safer” ones I’d say because it contains none of the “toxic trio,” which is DBP, formaldehyde, and toluene (source.)
Also, on the topic of nails (& hair)…mine have been growing like crazyyyy which yes, may be in part because of the pregnancy but I do think my daily prenatal multivitamin + my daily hair/skin/nails vitamin are a HUGE reason why too. This is the hair, skin, & nails gummy vitamin I’ve been using. I checked with my doctor to make sure it was pregnancy safe. You should talk to your doctor before starting any new vitamins to make sure they are right for you!
This Prayer Journal. I am doing a post soon on the devotionals I use each day, but I don’t want to wait to share this one. Cultivate What Matters has a variety of journals and I selected the “Cultivate Prayer” one. Each day it has you write out 2-3 verses of scripture and just sit with them, pray on them, and write out what’s on your heart. I have really enjoyed adding it to my morning devotional routine. I even ordered one for Craig because he liked how the journal was laid out and wanted one! I will share more about the other books & devotionals I use each day in that upcoming post.
These different organizers from Target. I organized our pantry last week and it was such a good decision. It really helps having different size boxes to categorize things and keep them in order!
This Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Cream. I’ve been using this for probably over a month now and I really like it. A little bit goes a long way and I really do think it has helped with the appearance of my under eye area. Hyaluronic Acid is so good for your skin and great for any skin type.
This sheer lipstick. I know I have shared before but it’s truly an obsession of mine. I have never put on a lipstick that went on so smooth and was also so soft & hydrating for my lips. I loveeee it. I love the Terra color (my daily go-to) and also Petal & Lily. But they’re all so pretty!
Okay friends, that’s all for me today. I am off to catch up on my reality TV from the week to kick off my weekend. Although I’m not excited about Colton as the Bachelor, I just can’t not watch it, LOL.
