Hey loves! Today I wanted to share something a little different from other home decor posts I’ve done before and share a Simple but Chic Thanksgiving Tablescape (that is really great all throughout Fall!) for your inspiration, should you be hosting for the holiday or just looking for ideas to up your table game.
Grab some wine, because that always helps and also because why not 😉
As much as I’d love to have a huge table and space for dining, that’s just not the case in our current little home! I lovingly call it our “Carter Cottage” <3 So because of the lack of space, our table is on the smaller side, seating 6 adults and can’t really hold much along the lines of decor without it feeling super cramped and busy. Ideally I’d love a huge, leafy eucalyptus garland and candlesticks galore, but that wouldn’t fit this table. Maybe in the future 🙂
In this case, I like to make sure the few pieces I am using make a statement and all pull together nicely. So mixing metals in my stemware & glassware, such as these copper wine glasses, these gold wine glasses, and these rose gold stemwares, makes for a chic vibe without overdoing it.
I also love my table runner, the macrame is so pretty and I think it gives it the more casual, relaxed feeling that a gathering space needs to have. You don’t want it to be too stuffy. I also love the matte black plates for this reason too. Not only is their price point absolutely amazing, but they are modern and fun, and I personally love how they match the matte black hardware in our kitchen.
A few glitter pumpkins, some taller candlesticks (taller than eye level so as to not block people’s view across the table) and a nice candle go a long way in finishing off the look.
This would be a great tablescape throughout fall for both Halloween and Thanksgiving, without being *too* festive for one or the other.
