Hey friends! Happy Sunday! How was your weekend? Great I hope 🙂
I have another weekly workout schedule for ya here, but I wanted to first touch on something that I get asked about pretty frequently and that’s if I work out at home or at a gym. I have pretty much been exclusively working out at home for the last 5 years or so…maybe more! I haven’t had a gym membership in SO LONG. When I had my corporate job, I did have access to a small gym in our building that I would use sometimes during lunch, but I really just used the open studio room space and not the equipment as much. I definitely believe it’s 100% possible to get in shape WITHOUT stepping foot in a gym. At home all I need is a little room to move, and I mean a little…I actually work out in our foyer area! You just need a few feet of space to get a good workout in. And I design all the workouts I share here to be able to be done anywhere…even if you just have a little bit of space in your bedroom or whatever it may be!
I actually love to workout at home because it saves time! No driving to or from the gym…all I have to do is turn on some beats and get to work. I have some equipment I have accumulated over the years, but nothing crazy. I have 3 pairs of dumbbells, weights 2lbs, 5lbs, and 8lbs, and then a 12lb kettlebell. I have a mat for when I do any floor work, and I have a few resistance bands. I did get a BOSU ball for Christmas one year, and I love it, but don’t use it all the time! I think all you really NEED to get started is some dumbbells and maybe a mat 🙂
Also, it’s kinda nice to workout at home because you can look like a straight up hot mess…legit sometimes I wear my cute workout clothes but sometimes I wear high grandpa socks with shorts and an old t-shirt. Anyways, it’s definitely become something I enjoy, it’s just comfortable and I think working out at home sort of makes your home feel like a “healthy” space. You take care of your body there, as you should also remember to take care of your mind (aka getting enough sleep, maybe some aromatherapy, bubble baths, candles, whatever to make your space serve you!) and also to eat in a way that helps serve your body as well.
I have all the at-home workouts you need that will get you results! And more to come y’all…I’m so excited for Fitter 2. Workouts will be NEXT.LEVEL. and you will love them. I can’t wait to show you! Be sure you’re on my email list to be the first to know…and I always give my email subscribers some extra love be it surprises or maybe even discounts 😉
