“I’m too busy to workout.”
“I’m too busy to make a healthy dinner or meal prep ahead of time.”
“I’m too busy to (insert thing you should be doing for your health but you’re not).”
Do any of these things sound like you? Whatever your thing is that you tell yourself, don’t feel bad…you’re certainly not alone. I’ve been guilty of it! But I’m going to give you some tough love today and cut through the BS to help you prioritize your health amongst the busyness.
Bottom line: You’ve got to quit with the excuses.
Everyone is busy. The thing is, if something is important to you, you make the time for it. If it’s not, then you won’t. We can all find reasons why we can’t take 30 minutes to workout, but the thing is, 99% of the time, we are lying to ourselves. Sure there are days when that might legitimately be true and there’s no time, but that can’t be every day. In order to reach your health & fitness goals you have to prioritize yourself. I know so many of us have jobs, we are wives, mothers, caretakers of some other kind, students, etc., it’s hard. I get it. But if you want change, you have to make changes. You might have to wake up earlier. You might have eat at your desk and skip taking a lunch so you can workout then. You might have to record your favorite show and watch it later. You might have to skip the post-work drinks with coworkers. At some point, you’ll have to get really REAL with yourself about what you WANT and what you’re willing to do to GET IT.
Remember this: Nothing changes if nothing changes.
As much as I wish it were true, simply wanting something to happen does not make it happen. Stop being scared of change, stop holding yourself back, stop making excuses. YOU deserve it!!
As a personal trainer, women’s fitness & nutrition coach, and accountability coach, I can work with you to help you get what you want, I can give you all the tools and motivation and knowledge, but when it comes down to it, YOU have to do those things.
If you want some extra guidance through training or coaching, email me! I’ll help keep you accountable and push past those excuses. Let’s do this!!

OMG! thank you Bess!! I feel like I have been preaching this to others recently as well. You really have to want it to make a change. But you’re so right, nothing changes if nothing changes. You first have to want it, but then you have to actually go after it!
