Hola chicas! Back from the bachelorette party in Miami! Did you see my stories on Instagram throughout the weekend? If not, spoiler alert, the weekend was just a little bit rowdy lol…but I suppose that is what bachelorette parties are supposed to be like and it is definitely what I anticipated!
I got in Thursday night late, but in time enough to have a couple glasses of wine and just sit around the kitchen table with my friends that were already there before going to bed way too late. It might have been my favorite night! But no really, they were all good. But wine & PJs..hard to beat in my opinion.
Friday AM we took our time getting up and eventually made it out to the pool. We were staying at The Alexander Hotel in South Beach, which is a hotel but also some of the residences are privately owned and rented out, so that’s what we did. It was basically a condo set up!
We were on the 15th floor so we had some pretty gorgeous views!
After some pool time, we headed out for our first of two salsa lessons. The bride wants us to do a choreographed salsa dance at the wedding so…we learned one! Haha! We went to Miami Liquid Salsa and I definitely recommend it if you’re ever in Miami and want to learn some salsa!!
Friday evening we got ready and then went out. We had dinner reservations to eat at the sushi restaurant in the Fontainebleau hotel. I can always get down with some sushi!
It was so good!
After that we went to LIV, a night club in the hotel. Not exactly my scene typically, but it was definitely an experience, lol. It was SO CROWDED too. I don’t understand how it’s not a fire hazard to have that many people in there. Also, the people that work at Liv are really rude, it’s so loud the bass was shaking my lungs, and if you want a vodka soda be prepared to spend $23 🙂 Ha! I mean of course I had fun with the girls but if you go I just wanna prepare you for it. Again…PJs and wine are my jam. I’m sure in college I would have livedddd for that.
We ordered 3am pizza when we got back and then passed out.
Saturday we had some beach time during the day and then we went to Little Havana for a tour! We did an AirBnB experience called Little Havana Rituals Tour. It was fun and I definitely recommend it! It was a really cool way to learn some of the Cuban culture. The tour involved tasting authentic Cuban cigars, Cuban rums, and Cuban coffee while walking around Little Havana.
LOL. I am not personally really a big fan of smoking in any form but didn’t wanna be a party pooper so I took a little puff or two of my cigar to taste it but then I was done. I had no problem drinking the rum though.
We ended with the Cuban coffee at this little store that served $1 pastries. So naturally I got two of them.
Saturday evening we had late dinner reservations at The Bazaar by Jose Andres. We had drinks and hung out at the condo until it was time to Uber there!
We got seated at this long table at the front of the lobby which was really fun because we did some really great people watching…even saw a few D-list celebrities aka Bravo-lebrities! I saw those Wirkus Twins from Summer House if you watched that show…and then if you watched the Bachelor (Nick’s season) or Bachelor in Paradise, I saw Kristina, the little Russian girl that dated Dean on BIP. She’s quite possibly the tiniest and most beautiful human I’ve ever seen. It’s crazy how small she is…maybe 5 feet tall with huge heels on lol.
Anyways I digress. The restaurant is tapas style and has such delicious food and cocktails! I recommend this as well. I snapped a few pics but not many.
That night we were invited to go to the lounge outside the hotel where the restaurant was so we went there! Got in for free and had free drinks…quite the opposite of the previous night’s experience but still really loud. At least it was outside 🙂
Sunday AM we were up to pack, check out, and head to our second salsa lesson. This is where we finally put together all of our moves and learned the full routine! I can’t believe we did it in 2 lessons. It’ll be interesting to see if we can still do it next month at the wedding 🙂
It was a great weekend celebrating my sweet friend Laura aka Lomo! Can’t wait to be in Colorado for the wedding.
PS- Wanted to give a little #NSale update! I got some of my clothes I ordered over the weekend and I love them! Not the best pic but wanted to show ya! This plaid top though *heart eye emojis*!!!! Also the black skinny jeans are THE MOST comfortable skinnies and so flattering. They are ultra high waist so they sit right around your belly button so gives you those nice curves. They fit TTS and the shirt is definitely oversized. I’m in the small but I love how flowy it is. Perfect for that front tuck. Obsessed!
