SHOP THE POST:
Y’all I feel like I have found the epitome of a perfect staple dress. Can be worn day-to-night, is so soft, hangs perfectly and doesn’t bunch in weird places, has a sporty racerback style…it is amazing! Did I mention it’s only $55 and comes in a ton of colors?! So yea, you know I got my two fave colors, aka gray and black 😉 I am planning on packing for 2 weeks in Italy in ONE (yes, one!) carry on so pieces like this are CLUTCH. I can wear them with sneakers during the day and I can dress it up at night. Multi-purpose outfits are a must. I am planning to share my entire packing strategy as a blog post too because I think just in general travel is so much less stressful when you don’t have a ton of things to have to keep up with, but at the same time I mean you wanna have cute clothes too!
Another thing I wanted to mention just because it has been on my mind lately is following your gut. I’m not going to give a big lecture here or anything, I simply just wanted to share that if something is going on in your life that you don’t feel quite right about, if you’re feeling a resistance to something but you might not necessarily be able to put your finger on it…try to LISTEN to that! That is your gut trying to tell you something. Figure out what it is, dig deep into your feelings and try to decipher it. And you might not ever be able to put your finger on it exactly, but bottom line is, if something doesn’t feel right to you, even if it maybe once did, then don’t do it! Life is so short, and we all deserve to be spending it on things that are true and natural to us, and don’t cause us endless stress or loss of sleep. Or maybe it’s not even that dramatic. Maybe it’s just a simple change you know you want to make and you just need to do it. I don’t know if it’s turning 30 this year or WHAT but this is the year I am cutting things out that don’t serve me in a positive way. When you do things from that perspective, you can never go wrong because even though it might not be a popular decision with other people, you’ll be able to rest easy at night knowing that you made the best decision for yourself. And sometimes, sister, you just have to put yourself and your dreams first. Who else will?? So there ya have it, my Tuesday two-cents, lol!
Have you made any decisions lately to put yourself and your needs first, or to cut out something that wasn’t serving you in a positive way? How did following your gut make you feel after?
xo,
Bess
