Hey loves!! It is HUMP DAY and for that reason alone I can’t think of a better time to share something I get asked about a lot. So many of y’all ask me not only to share activewear at different price points, but lately I have been getting asked questions in particular about what are the best high waisted leggings for ladies that may be a little *extra blessed* in the legs & booty department. I don’t know why y’all are asking me?! LOL sarcasm. I know. So today I’m going to share some of the best high waisted leggings for babes with a booty and I’ll also try to point out a few different price ranges as well!
So yeah, a big thing that is important with leggings is that they obviously need to stay UP when you are working out but also not ride up, ya know?! The material is crucial here, it’s gotta be tight and stretchy. If it’s not super stretchy aka if it doesn’t feel like you’re basically wearing a second skin, then it’s not gunna work for working out. I have plenty of leggings that are comfortable and I wear them more for athleisure purposes, but for workouts, they have to be tight and stretchy.
The ones I am wearing are from quite possibly one of my most favorite brands, Beyond Yoga. They’re on the pricier side I would say, ranging from $80-$120 per pair, but I can honestly tell you that you get your money’s worth. The pair that I am wearing in these pictures is that brand. It hugs in the right places and feels supportive, they are going anywhere, and they’re so comfortable. I will try to share some more price conscious pieces with y’all, but in my experience, you do truly get what you pay for so just keep that in mind 🙂 To me, I’d rather spend money on a pair of leggings I know are functional and will last me for years than just paying a cheap price for a low quality pair that probably won’t work well for my sweaty workouts and won’t last very long either.
Another pair that I love and would recommend equally for both athleisure AND working out (a hard balance to achieve, in my opinion) is these Lululemon Align Pants. The material feels like straight up butter on your body. Size down 1-2 sizes. They are $98 but worth every penny.
One pair of leggings that is KILLER for training, feels so good and are actually super flattering is this pair of Nike leggings. And they are only $55 so probably the best quality for the lowest price that I’ll be able to recommend.
All of those work great and will not budge during a workout from my own experience!! Don’t get me wrong I obviously wear plenty of other pairs that get the job done, but these are the tops for me right now. If I find more that meet my high standards I will write a recap post 🙂 I hope this helps!! Let me know if you have any questions!
xo,
Bess

Hey Bess,
I was actually just looking at all your posts with leggings, so this is perfect timing. Do you find you get “VPL” with these or how do you prevent it?
Thanks!
Melanie

Hey Melanie!! Well to be direct, I avoid VPL by not wearing any! Honestly, you don’t need to wear them…the leggings are basically like undies haha 🙂
