I love decorating for Christmas…and this year the urge has come even sooner than normal. Usually I wait until after Thanksgiving, but I just can’t wait that long this year for some reason! I do think that we will wait until after Thanksgiving to get the big family room tree (the picture above is from last year). Also, now’s the time to go ahead and stock up on your home decor goodies before the best stuff sells out 🙂 Every year I add some more things to my decoration collection but this year I went with more white, soft, and neutral wintery tones to decorate for Christmas. Below are the new items I’ve purchased to create our cozy winter wonderland space so far.
This is what I’ve done with the mantle so far this year…I am really leaning towards more neutral decorations this year but I do love a pop of red here and there to make it really feel festive.
Also, I’ve had a few people see this on my Instagram stories and ask about the wreath. I have had this specific one for a couple of years now, but this one and this one are super similar!!
I also decided to give our bedroom a holiday touch as well so it has been brightened with some twinkly white lights and a mini white Christmas tree, along with a wreath straight from Chip & Joanna’s Hearth & Hand collection. You also gotta have a fuzzy blanket in every room (but this is a year round requirement for me).
SHOP HOLIDAY HOME DECOR PIECES:
Also, HauteLook has some cute Christmas decor pieces starting at $10 so its a great place to get some knick knacks n stuff 🙂
I will update this post or maybe even do another post once I’ve gotten the tree and put up the rest of the indoor and outdoor decorations so stay tuned for part 2!!

Bess
