Sunday Riley sent me product for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
A few months ago, Sunday Riley sent me a few different products in their skincare line to try out. I had heard amazing things about Sunday Riley, so I was really excited. As I get closer to 30 (my birthday is in January!!) I have been really trying to find products that will help me not only take care of my skin and make it look good now, but also will help preserve some of the youthfulness and appearance of it for years to come.
The products I got were:
- Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment
- Sunday Riley C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum
- Sunday Riley Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask

A little more about each product + my thoughts on it below!
Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment
So to put it bluntly, Good Genes Lactic Acid is liquid gold. The price tag also might make you think so but hear me out…this stuff is amazing. The best part is that a little bit goes a long way, so while it is expensive, you don’t need to use much to get the effects. I use a pea size dollop and spread it out on my face every night before bed after I have cleansed and moisturized. An anti-aging wonder for sure, but I have really noticed such a balance in my skin since using this (I’ve been using this the longest of the other products). Helping with skin dullness and uneven texture is one of the many things it is formulated to do, along with helping get rid of dark spots and minimize fine lines and wrinkles.
A little more about it:
It is formulated with high potency, purified grade lactic acid that immediately exfoliates dull, pore-clogging dead skin cells, revealing smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin. Fine lines appear visually plumped while the skin looks more radiant. With continued use, the appearance of stubborn hyperpigmentation and the visible signs of aging are reduced for a healthier-looking complexion. Perfect for all skin types and all ages, this treatment is enhanced with licorice for brightening, Good Genes clarifies, smooths, and retexturizes for instant radiance.
I have a feeling this product will be one I use for many, many years to come! I love it.
C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum
Vitamin C is where it’s at y’all! Seriously, you’ve probably heard people preaching about how amazing Vitamin C is for your skin and they are right. The C.E.O. Rapid Flash brightening serum is true to it’s name, especially in the “rapid” category. I felt like I could instantly see my skin light up. And it smells nice…citrus-y 🙂 It does what it says it’s going to: fights the look of dullness, dark spots, and discolorations, while instantly increasing brightness, radiance, and luminosity.
The only downside of this in my opinion is that it doesn’t really wear well under makeup, so lately I’ve been using it on weekends when I don’t put on makeup. I am naturally a little more oily on my forehead when I wear makeup, so that is even more pronounced when I have this on underneath. So, if you have dryer skin that might not be an issue for you. To me, it does what a lot of what Good Genes does for me in terms of evening out my skin’s texture and getting rid of dark spots. I think that the C.E.O serum is much more gentle on people so if you have sensitive skin, this may be a better option for you to try. The Good Genes can be more intense…I put too much on one night and it burned a little bit so now I just use a little and it’s perfect.
Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask
To be honest, my first observation about this mask was that is smelled really weird. Ha, but that is to be expected with a sulfur mask, I suppose. It’s kind of a mix between sulfur and tea tree oil, so it’s not all bad. It’s worth it for the results, absolutely. The Saturn Sulfur Acne Mask is a “fast-acting, medicated 10 percent sulfur treatment mask that helps fight multiple forms of acne while preventing future breakouts.” I have to say, I can notice a definite difference after I use this mask in my breakouts…as in, after I use it, it pretty dramatically clears up my skin. You can also use it as a spot treatment, which is pretty awesome. I’m prone to getting acne on my jawline and neck, especially around my period, so this is a godsend in helping with that. I absolutely think that this is the best mask I’ve ever tried, and I have tried many!!
A little more about it:
Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask contains maximum levels of sulfur to penetrate pores to dry and clear up existing acne while preventing new blemishes from forming. It treats multiple forms of acne, including blocked, congested pores, inflammatory acne, hormonal acne, and acne rosacea. Four percent niacinamide promotes clear skin, while boosting skin’s healthy-looking radiance. Zinc PCA and bentonite clay help to clear impurities, reduce excess oil, and soothe the appearance of surface redness, without over-drying. Highly potent tea tree oil, standardized for high levels of terpinen-4-ol, partnered with manuka oil, purify the skin for a smooth and clear complexion after each use.
So all in all, they are all amazing products and I have seen definite results from each one. I think I will continue to use the Good Genes and the Sulfur Mask long term. I am still undecided on the CEO Rapid Flash serum…like I said I think what I would need from that product I get from Good Genes, so right now I’m not sure I need it, but I think you should definitely look into trying at least one of them. I have no doubts you’ll notice a brighter complexion, less fine lines and wrinkles, and overall a more even texture.
Let me know if you have any questions!! I will be doing a post next Friday on my complete AM and PM skincare routine so definitely check back then for a more complete picture of how I take care of my skin along with these Sunday Riley products 🙂
xo,
Bess
