Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a great weekend and a great day! Today I’m sharing the routine Workout Schedule & Teal High Waisted Leggings that I am in love with right now. It has been a nice weekend around Charlotte for me. Friday night Craig & I had a lazy night in (honestly these are my favorite for weekends…chillin’ real hard). We made dinner which was just some gluten free quinoa pasta with broccoli & red sauce, plus wine obvi, and binged on some Netflix.
Aforementioned pasta & wine must have given me some good energy because I set out for my run on Saturday morning and ended up doing 8 miles. That is the longest I have gone on a run in a while! I’ve hit 7 miles in the last year or so but I typically do more the 5-6 mile range on Saturdays (my “longer” run days). If you’re been reading my blog for a while you may remember my previous half marathons and even the full marathon that I did and that the full sort of ruined my desire to run long distances…mostly because my leg was really messed up from the stress fracture that I gave it during training. But I don’t know…something about today had me itching to run a race again, so maybe I’ll look into some half marathons and see if anything looks cool. I cannot and will not run a full again; my body could not handle it and ALSO I made a deal with my friend Laura (who ran the Chicago Marathon with me) following the Chicago marathon that if either of us ever wanted to run a marathon again we would have to pay the other one $1000. LOL! We were in such pain afterwards, we didn’t want to ever forget!! Haha. But yeah, anyways, may look into a half marathon some time….debating 🙂

I definitely NEED to share these Teal High Waisted Leggings with y’all. I’ve been really drawn to this pretty color lately and have seen a few other brands that have a similar color, so finally I decided to do it! These are high waisted which is obviously a must for me when it comes to leggings (I seriously wonder how I ever wore leggings before that weren’t high waisted) and these have the lines stitched in that are really flattering and they’re just comfy! But they’re definitely not going anywhere. You can for sure wear them lounging but they will do work with you in a workout and not budge. Amen!
The top I have on is one of those great versatile pieces that you could wear to and from a yoga or barre class or the gym, it has great slits on the side which is really cute and functional for that air flow!! But it’s also really cute with shorts as a more casual “real” outfit beyond athleisure. I’ve also been known to wear it with my pajamas, so there’s that.
