Well happy Tuesday! Or Travel Tuesday I should say I suppose 🙂 I have literally hundreds of pictures from our vacation and want to share some of our Out West Trip Pictures here!!
We stayed in Driggs, Idaho in a VRBO rental. Driggs is a super cute little town just over the Teton pass from Jackson, Wyoming. The house was perfect and the first picture below is the view from the front deck. The second picture is the backyard! The view from the side yard was of the Grand Teton and it was spectacular. It was so quiet and peaceful…I am missing it already!
Throughout the week we had fun adventures every day including a day trip to Yellowstone National Park (where we saw a grizzly bear eating an elk in the river!), a day where Craig & I went fly fishing (one of my favorite days actually!!), a day kayaking in Idaho, and a couple different days in Grand Teton National Park since it was a little closer and there’s just so much to do everywhere! One of my favorite hikes was the hardest one but definitely the most worth it for the views on the way up and at the top…a 10 mile trek to Amphitheater lake.
Jenny Lake.
Hidden Falls.
Inspiration Point.
Cascade Canyon.
An Idaho sunset.
So high up!! On the way back down from Amphitheater lake.
Elk!
Cascade Canyon again 🙂
I wish pictures could do these justice!
Spotted this owl on our kayak trip!
The front porch of the house 🙂
Back yard again.
Kayaking in Idaho. So quiet (except for some cows & moose mooing)
Old Faithful Geyser at Yellowstone.
The grizzly bear is just down there near the water. I zoomed in the picture below but you can’t really make him out. But we had binoculars and saw him. The elk is dead and laying in the water. It was truly wild to see!
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
Hubby fly fishing!
View from our skiff (fly fishing boat for those of you not in the lingo 😉 haha jk I am no expert!) We hired a guide for the day and he took us out on his boat and taught me how to fish! It was fun, I caught 4 fish and Craig caught about 7 or so.
Here’s little downtown Driggs!! It is so cute.
The Carter boys took a dip in a couple Glacier lakes, including Taggart Lake and I just got my feet wet lol.
Tetons behind us!! Such a fun hike and those views the entire time!
See??
Adventurers!
UNREAL.
I have so many pictures but I am sorta scared I will just break my blog if I put too many on here!! I may share some more later 🙂 Have you ever been out west? Have you been to Grand Teton or Yellowstone or would you like to? Let me know!!
xo,
Bess
