Hi beauties! I’ve been in Charleston this weekend with Craig…completely and totally eating (and drinking) our way through the city. We planned this trip back in December because he knows how much I love it so it was nice to have a weekend to just go and be together and enjoy it! We did walk a TON and I got a 5.5 mile run in on Sunday morning so we def got exercise in too. That being said, I DEFINITELY am needing some serious sweat sessions this week so I am planning to take it up a notch. I always like a little extra motivation to push myself a bit so I’d love it if you wanna sweat it out a lil more with me! Let me know in the comments below if you’re down!

Saturday: 60 minutes cardio of your choice! I’ll be running around 6-7 miles!
Sunday: Rest day! We have worked hard all week and have earned a day relaxing! Happy Easter!

Love your workouts! I’ve been following your schedule for the last couple weeks. How do you strike a balance between body weight training and weights? I had been focusing more on weight training recently, but my arms were getting too bulky for my preference.

Hi Melanie!! So glad to hear you’ve been following the workouts! I usually only focus on arms once per week specifically as an “arm workout” but of course there will be workouts where I will be using my arms while training other areas like planks for example. All of my workouts are usually a combo of weights and body weight stuff. If your arms are getting too bulky for your liking I would say to decrease the weight you use and increase the reps, and pair with moves that will get your heart rate up between sets such as throwing in jumping jacks, squat jumps, high knee runs, etc. and/or do more bodyweight stuff in place of the weights. Hope that helps 🙂
