Before we get into this week’s workouts, I just wanted to give a quick little recap of my weekend. I’m feeling especially sad about seeing this weekend in particular go. One of my best friends has been battling a brain tumor and our best friends that live all over (New York, Florida, Colorado, Pennsylvania) came to Charlotte this weekend to participate in the Brain Tumor Race in Uptown hosted by the National Brain Tumor Society to advance research and public policy to improve the availability of new and better treatments, and fuel the discovery of a cure for brain tumors. I wish we all still lived in the same place but it was great we were able to come together for our Allie!
She is a strong chick and inspires me every day with her attitude and strength!!
Okay switching gears now… So I really wanted to share some of my favorite fitness gear that is on the more affordable side. I will preach that I believe a pair of Lululemon align pants are worth every penny (and I think everyone should own a pair because they’re just that good) but I also think you can find some good quality stuff in a lower price range!
The shorts I’m wearing are from Forever21 and I love them. Forever21’s fitness gear is actually pretty good!! I’ve had them going on 2 years now and they’re holding up really well. I probably wear them for a workout at least once a week. My tank and sports bra are both Nike and you really can’t go wrong with Nike gear. My shoes are Brooks and they are my favorite running shoes. I continue to buy this pair over and over because I love the colors and they help me pound the pavement pain-free. Also, I’m not wearing any of it in this particular picture but Target also has really great activewear for a great price.

WEEKLY WORKOUT SCHEDULE
Monday: Legs & Cardio: Complete each move for 30 seconds, and do the entire circuit 4-5x through!
PLIE SQUAT JUMPS
SKATERS
BACK LUNGE WITH FRONT KICK (30 seconds per side)
WOODCHOPS (30 seconds per side)
BACK LUNGE WITH SINGLE LEG HOP (30 seconds per side)
Tuesday: 30-45 minutes cardio of your choice! This is a run day for me and I will do generally around 4 miles.
Wednesday: Abs, Arms, & Cardio Pyramid
Thursday: 30-45 minutes cardio of your choice! This is a run day for me and I will do generally around 4 miles.
Friday: Full Body Strength Training!! If you have time, finish with 20 minutes of light cardio! (Jog/walk!)
Saturday: 45-60 minutes cardio of your choice! This is a run day for me and I will do generally around 6 miles. I’ll finish with some abs if I’m feeling extra frisky 😉
Sunday: Rest day!

Girl I am so sorry about your friend. I can’t even imagine. But that is so awesome you all got to get together this weekend! I also love the fitness gear. I always wear lululemon and it’s way too expensive so I need to start checking some of these other places out! 🙂

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend but so heartwarming to see all of you come together to support her. I went through a year of chemo with my mom and saw first hand, that the more support she had the better felt.
I’m going to try this work out schedule. I’ve done each of these moves before – I just needed the motivation to get them going again. It’s so hard to start when you stop!
