I wanted to write this post to update everyone on my skincare routine since I’ve made the switch of my products to Beautycounter. Even after just a few weeks of using this stuff I can see and feel a difference in my skin. I could tell a difference really after the first day! Ha, I told Craig to feel my face and how soft it was after washing my face the first night…he thought I was a bit weird but agreed it was extra soft 😉
(PS- Craig also uses the Nourishing Cream Exfoliator and really likes it, so, man-approved too!)
So this is what I currently do and I’m very happy with my results so far.
In the morning: Use the Nourishing Cream Cleanser to wash my face and then spritz (3 spritzes to be exact) the Rosewater Mist and gently dab into face with fingertips. Then I apply a small amount of the Nourishing Day Cream immediately after to moisturize. I’ll dab on some Eye Cream if I’m looking tired 😉 After that I will put on my makeup, which during the week is pretty basic and so far I’ve made the switch to use the Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer as my foundation and I’ve also started using the Lengthening Mascara.
At night to take off my makeup/wash the day away: Use the Nourishing Cream Exfoliator to gently scrub away the makeup and oils from the day. This is my favorite product so far…the amount of exfoliant is perfect. It’s gentle enough to where you can easily use it every day but not so gentle you don’t feel like you’re actually exfoliating. Then I use the Cream Cleanser again, just a small amount because a little goes a long way! You wouldn’t need to use both necessarily but I prefer it that way and I love how my skin feels afterwards. Then I put on some Eye Cream and Nourishing Night Cream before bed! It’s so hydrating but isn’t greasy at all. I love it. I actually wake up looking refreshed and not like a total zombie!!
This routine even in just a few weeks time has really balanced my skin out and I notice I am not oily at the end of the day anymore. My face, specifically my forehead, would always get a little shinier by the end of the day and I can tell a definite difference now that it doesn’t happen!
I’ll be honest, if these products sucked and didn’t actually perform any better than other brands that aren’t necessarily “safe”, I probably would keep using the ones that weren’t screened for safety if I thought they made my skin clearer. That sounds very vain perhaps, but I’m just being real with y’all! But the truth is, these do that even better than other products I’ve tried and I can already tell that difference. I’m excited and optimistic about my skin improving more as more time goes on. Their being safe and nontoxic are just amazing bonuses.
Another note- the “a little bit goes a long way” adage applies to all of the products I’ve mentioned here, which is another thing that rules about it. They last!
PS- There’s a current promotion going on, for a limited time, get a free rejuvenating eye cream & lip conditioner in Calendula when you spend $150+.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!
xo,
Bess
