So quick story. I used to love/be obsessed with Lululemon a few years ago when I first started training for half marathons and also when I was a more dedicated yogi. Then tons of other great activewear lines hit the market about the time Lulu had their little “leggings are see through” incident (yikes) so I kinda stopped shopping there for a bit.
My love for the Speed Short never went away and I have a few pairs in different colors that have lasted me so YEARS (including many half-marathons and a full marathon) that I still wear those every week!! You will get your money’s worth in those. I also love these running socks.
But after hearing many promises from Lulu over the past couple years that their leggings will no longer show off any of your lady parts in down-dog and many friends raving about this particular pair of leggings, a few months ago I decided to go back into the store and try them on. BEST DECISION I have made. Of all the many leggings I own and put on my body day in and day out, I have to say at this point in time, nothing is comparable to how these both feel and perform. They for sure have that buttery-soft feel to the touch; you pretty much feel like you’re naked except these also somehow make me feel like I’ve lost about 10 pounds, LOL. They’re so flattering!!! I LOVE the high waist and think that has something to do with it too, they just accentuates curves. They suck you in without being too tight and they’re super stretchy, so no matter what exercise you’re doing, no motion gets them out of place. Yes they’re a little on the pricier side but they are 100% worth every penny in my book, because as much as I wear these leggings I know it’s worth it to have amazing quality that will last.
I also highly recommend wearing them with cozy sweaters while you sit on your couch & drink wine. 😉
