Something I find really valuable is putting your goals down onto paper. So I wanted to write them here, to share them with you, and I also write them out in my 2017 planner. I also highly recommend a planner 🙂
Some goals I have for this coming year:
- Travel more
- Read 1 book per month (feel free to leave book recommendations in the comments!)
- Count my running miles for 2017… I am just really curious to know how many I will get in over the course of the year, so I am going to start counting!
- Grow Fit+Fave… I have some things I’m really excited about that I’ve been working hard on that I’ll be able to share soon. I hope this blog will continue to grow and serve as a place for motivation and ideas!
- Continue to be consistent with my workouts and push myself by running a little faster, maybe a little further, increasing weights that I use to keep getting stronger, and be sure to stretch! I am so bad about skipping the stretching portion, ha.
- Finish decorating our new home, which I plan to share here and on my Instagram, in our rustic/farmhouse/industrial/touch of glam style. I’ve definitely felt inspired by our new space so I want to share it as well!
Tips that I wanted to share with you that help me stay on track:
- Invest in yourself. Whatever that means, either monetarily investing in yourself or simply by making time for yourself, it’s so important so be sure you’re doing that for YOU!
- Treat yourself! Have you been eyeing a FitBit or new running shoes? DO IT if you think it will help you accomplish your goals! This obviously goes hand in hand with #1 but it’s crucial.
- Have a workout buddy for accountability and motivation. Need one? I can be your buddy!! Make an Instagram if you don’t already have one. You can check in with me by tagging me or feel free to message me!
- Start your day with a healthy breakfast. Check out this post for my staples!! Also, Stay hydrated!!! Get yourself a cute water bottle and take it around with you EVERYWHERE. I mean it! Everywhere. I love this one and it comes in so many colors.
- Declutter. Your closet, your home, your mind, all of it! Get rid of the things and the thoughts that no longer serve you or make your life better. Just cut that shit out 🙂
- Get yourself a journal or planner. Have you seen the bullet journaling concept? If you search that on Instagram, you will get sucked into a black hole of the cool things you can find but it’s a fun way to journal! I found this article to explain it pretty well.
What are some of your goals or resolutions for 2017???
xo,
Bess
