I have a love affair with oatmeal. I eat it pretty much every day for breakfast and I love it’s versatility in adding in ingredients. Also, it’s super easy to make so there’s that. When it comes to a cold winter morning as the days close in on Christmas, I found myself craving a bowl with a little something extra. That’s where the cinnamon sugar comes in.
This recipe is easy & you’ll have your bowl ready in 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats (add more or less if you have more people or want a smaller serving)
- equal parts unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- cinnamon to taste
- cinnamon sugar to taste
Directions:
- Put rolled oats and almond milk into medium-sized pot over medium-high heat.
- Stir occasionally until oatmeal starts to bubble, then cut back to medium-low heat.
- Mix in cinnamon and cinnamon sugar to taste
- Pour into bowl and top with more cinnamon and cinnamon sugar if desired
- Drizzle more almond milk on top if you want 🙂
