This past weekend was a very laid back one and I needed it after last week at work!! Also, I didn’t know it at the time but I’d need it to get through the hell that was my Monday so all around I just needed the recharge!! Lol. Being an adult is hard.
Friday kicked off with a workout, and then I entertained the idea of getting dressed so Craig and I could go out to eat for approximately 3 seconds, and then I decided we’d enjoy a night in more. We made gluten free penne alla vodka with chicken for dinner and had a bottle of wine!
Saturday morning usually starts with a run, but then I realized I probably needed to have picked out my wedding shoes for my dress fitting this week…so yeaaaaah I ended up really locking into online shopping for the right shoe (found tons I liked, but most sold out in my size. Apparently 8.5 is a popular shoe size) and I didn’t end up getting off the couch and out of my pajamas until that mission was completed. I finished at approximately 12:30pm after starting around 9am. Then I went on the run to clear my head!!! I was tired of looking at a screen.
After about 5 miles or so I called it and headed home. I refueled with a strawberry banana protein smoothie while I laid on my bed…because it was Saturday and I could.
Other weekend highlights include more meals at home aka gluten free oven pizza (& wine duh), walks around the park on Sunday and playing soccer with Craig (holy soreness…It has definitely been a while) and then breakfast for dinner Sunday night. I made a rule we need to do brinner at least once a week. It’s so easy, fast, and cheap. But not bad for you 😉
Do you like breakfast for dinner?
xo,
Bess
