Happy Monday! Ha. Does anyone actually get excited about Monday? I can see the liking the “fresh start” aspect but I am always sad to see the free days of the weekend go. I saw something someone posted on Instagram this morning that said “It’s Monday…and that’s not a bad thing.” (Or something to that effect) which got me thinking about it’s all about your attitude or outlook on life! I have had a crazy day but was mindful to try to stay positive and happy throughout. Your perspective is really a powerful thing!
Okay, onto my weekend highlights! Friday I kicked off the weekend with a workout. Circuit work out in the gym + incline walking on the treadmill.
Friday night Craig and I went and got burgers and stayed in to watch a movie. We rented the newest Bond flick “Spectre”…have you seen it? I thought it was good; great action and Daniel Craig for sure isn’t bad to look at for 2.5 hours, but I thought the plot wasn’t the best.
Saturday morning I made coffee and had a pre-run breakfast of brown rice bread with peanut butter, honey, and sliced banana.
That fueled me enough for a 3 mile run and some shopping.
The other highlights include Valentine’s Day goodies. Aka delicious food. Breakfast, cupcakes, dinner.
This pasta is amazing. I used this recipe and added in asparagus because it’s my favorite. I wish I could eat that plate full of food all over again!
