I sit here on a Monday morning having coffee typing this because I made a great life decision by taking this particular Monday off from work. Extending the holiday is always good for me. I will go back tomorrow but for now I am enjoying not having to work today 🙂
Craig and I drove to Durham on Wednesday to spend a few days with my family. We drove in a monsoon! A nice dinner out at Blue Olive with the fam made up for it. Craig and I split the grilled octopus and we both got lamb loin with mushroom risotto and broccolini for the entree.
It was amazing.
Christmas Eve started out with a 4 mile run and then I helped mom get ready for the rest of the family to come over for Christmas Eve dinner.
The appetizer table was on point!
Happy to spend Christmas with Craig 🙂
Dinner & dessert:
The biggest slice of coconut cake everrrrrr. mmmmmm!!
Christmas Day we had lunch with my family then drove to Hendersonville to be with Craig’s family for the rest of the holiday.
We had so much un-pictured delicious food (including the pictured thai food above) and went on a hike, enjoyed time by the bonfire…it was lovely 🙂 I hate for Christmas 2015 to end! But I sure am happy we have so many amazing people in our lives to share it with.
I hope you had a great holiday and weekend!! I am looking forward to NYE! 🙂
xo,
Bess
