I received promotional consideration by DuClaw Brewing Company.

Enter: Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter Cupcakes with Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting
Ingredients for Cupcakes:
- 1/2 cup For Pete’s Sake Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 stick melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
Ingredients for Frosting:
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- For Pete’s Sake beer as desired
Instructions for Cupcakes:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine sugar and melted butter and stir for 3 minutes or until well combined and the butter is no longer liquid. Then add egg and stir until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and baking powder)
- Add beer and vanilla extract to wet ingredients and combine.
- Gradually add dry mix to wet and stir, but do not over combine.
- Line 1-2 cupcake tins with cupcake liners and fill liners 2/3 of the way to the top.
- Once oven is preheated, bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Instructions for Frosting:
- Place the softened butter and peanut butter in a bowl and stir to combine. Gradually mix in the confectioners’ sugar and For Pete’s Sake beer when it starts to get thick. Use the beer as desired, one tablespoon at a time. Stir until the frosting is thick, fluffy, and spreadable.
This made 18 cupcakes for me. I used 1 full cupcake tin and half of the another.
Allow cupcakes to cool before spreading frosting.
The fluffy, delicious frosting. Be sure to have a spoonful or two of it on its own.
If desired, add some chocolate drizzle to the top 🙂
Enjoy! These are so good. Both the cupcakes and the frosting are pretty light and fluffy, which I think is attributed to the bubbles in the beer! Either way, it’s awesome.
For extra chocolate peanut butter goodness, enjoy your cupcake alongside a freshly opened bottle of For Pete’s Sake! It is decadent. Treat yo’self. Share if you want to (this is optional.)
