Is anything worse than the last day of a vacation or break? I mean, hanging out with friends and family all day sure beats working in my opinion. Who’s with me? Ha. Oh I miss the college days when you just had a few exams and then got to go home for a month and do nothing but sleep. That ruled. Dear college kids, if you are reading this: you have the life.
Anyways, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here are some picture recaps:
Thursday morning I woke up early so I could get a run in. It was a cold but sunny morning and SO quiet. I loved it. I did 4 miles before heading to my grandpa’s house to meet up with my family.
Family Christmas card…literally. Craig can be in it next year after the wedding. For now he is the photographer 😉
A picture of just one of my many Thanksgiving meals. Who really only has ONE meal? Even if it’s leftovers of the same food with the same people, I think most people probably do it at least twice! I think I probably had maybe 4 or 5 Thanksgiving meals. And probably double the plates of desserts. Oh man. Carrot cake really got me this year!!! SO delicious and worth it.
I also made a breakfast casserole (will share the recipe soon) to take to Craig’s family’s house since we were there most of the weekend. The casserole had egg, hash browns, bacon, & turkey sausage.
Craig & I also went out one night for drinks at a restaurant in downtown Hendersonville. The Christmas lights are up!
Locally brewed beer for him & a cabernet for me 🙂
I also tried to be active somehow everyday. Friday morning I did a 3 mile run and my Thanksgiving circuit workout. Saturday morning we were feeling a little tired and lazy but still went for a 30 minute walk…this was the view:
It felt and looked so wintery. Christmas is coming 🙂 🙂
Sunday we got up and went to church and went out to breakfast with the family before heading back to Charlotte. I was feeling a little groggy and tired so I felt like a run was in order. It took some mental strength to get out there but I was glad I did. I got 4 miles in then unpacked and took a shower before hitting the couch.
